
Alexandra Roxo
Alexandra Roxo is a filmmaker and artist living in Brooklyn, NY. Her Seattle-made experimental films have shown in festivals and galleries around the world including the Free Sheep Foundation, The A.I.R. Biennial in NYC, The New Filmmakers series at the Anthology Film Archives, The Pictures Series in London and Edinburgh and more. She recently co-wrote and directed her first narrative feature film, Mary Marie which premiered at the Brooklyn Film Festival where it received an award for Best Cinematography and was featured in publications such as Wall St Journal, Variety Magazine, Huffington Post, AM NY, NY Press, L Magazine, IndieWire, Cinespect, Twitch Film, and many more. Her fashion films for Suzanne Rae and STUDY NY have screened at Lincoln Center, on NBC NY, and at Fashion's Night Out. New York Magazine called Roxo's work "sultry"and "haunting."
