No Touching Ground
No Touching Ground (NTG) is a mural and installation artist/shaman. Conceptually his artwork deals with the under represented and is most often presented in marginalized spaces. The pure, imagistic quality of NTG's graphic based work exists outside the traditional graffiti paradigm, and focuses on producing moments of pure transcendence, disseminating images of past inhabitants and prophesizing their return. His collaborative efforts include co-founding the New Mystics and extensive participation with the Free Sheep Foundation. Notable works in 2010 included the “John T. Williams Memorial” and the “Beating of Maikoiyo Alley-Barnes”, both unsanctioned murals in Seattle. An installation in an abandoned warehouse in South Seattle entitled "Tomb" was also completed. Nationally, NTG collaborated with Over/Under on the “Helping Hand” mural in Brooklyn for those affected by the Tsunami in Japan. No Touching Ground is frequently published on Wooster Collective and was the winner of Seattle Weekly's Best of 2011 street artist award.
