THE TOTALLY SUBJECTIVE OPINION ART CONTEST: Get out and vote!

Starting today and running through September 22nd, galleries all over Seattle are participating in the Heineken City Arts Fest Totally Subjective Opinion Art Contest presented by Verizon. One local artist is going to win $1000, courtesy of Verizon.

Here's how it works. Head to a gallery or business that displays local art and vote for a piece you like by either emailing the name of the gallery and the name of the piece to award@cityartsfest.com, or look for ou posters (see above) that have a QR code on them. The code will take you to a handy-dandy submission page. Vote as many times as you'd like from as many galleries as you'd like (try to keep it to one piece per location, please). On September 22nd, we'll tally the votes and three artists pieces will be displayed for 3 week in October at the downtown Verizon store. The piece/artist that garners the most votes there (using a pretty darn cool tablet to vote) is going to receive $1000.

There's a ton of great art out there, and City and Verizon think it's important to support it.
